The complexity of the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency combined with psychiatric morbidity requires:
- flexibility of the intervention and a combination of many techniques and interventions through different approaches
- the members of the Interdisciplinary Team to have high expertise and continuous training
- the D.O. to be staffed with all specialties related to psychiatric disorders (developmental, emotional, etc.)
- the development of strong and stable cross-sectoral and interdisciplinary cooperation
At the Oselotos Special Mental Health Unit, we have developed and implement a synthetic approach based on the needs of the target population which follows the following operational principles:

- The development of new strategies to meet needs. Psychoeducation in “Non-Violent Communication” techniques
- Development of skills and strategies for daily life management and conflict resolution
- Vocational guidance—creating internal motivation for education, vocational training and employment
- Strengthening the sense of “belonging”
